A friend was struck a few months ago when he found out that I still put photos in photo albums. “Wow, nobody does photo albums anymore,” he said. “I do,” I told him.
Several years ago, I took all of my photographs I’d saved over the years – from my great grandparents’ wedding photo to my hospital birth photo to all my childhood photos and early adult photos – and put them in chronological order in a photo album. Next to each photo – or group of photos – I put notes. I put notes about dates, who I was with, where I was, etc – relevant info about each photo(s).
Once I did this organizing of photos into a photo album, it was easy and natural to keep going with this.
Each time I have photos of another event, I add them to the next page of a photo album and add a note.
When I fill a photo album, I start another photo album. I’m currently filling up my fifth photo album.
It’s great being able to look back through a life of memories!
